This was the first of a three day run<br />
for Furthur at the BEC. Seemed like<br />
a bobby set list night. Took awhile<br />
for band to warm up and started jamming<br />
in the second set.<br />

I recorded DFC, OTS with wind<br />
screens and on mic stand at 11<br />
feet. Used the DPA4022 (windscreens) <br />
with Grace Design V3 preamp. The sound <br />
at the venue for first set seemed to<br />
be low and they turned it up during<br />
second set.<br />

The sound of the recording is good to<br />
very good. Crowd noise is minimal.<br />

I suggest you use the WRS and Mtn. Song to get yourself appropriately situated, with the music loud enough so Phil sounds good, then go along for the ride from the transition into NFA through the rest of the 2nd set. Phil is playing his heart out for an hour plus, and all the ensemble jamming is just stunning for the first show of the tour. Give that an attentive listen, you won't be disappointed. Many thanks to Patrick H for sharing this fine capture.
