Recording Notes:
Recorded in binaural stereo with omnidirectional mics. Ideal for headphone listening.
In set 1 the drunk crowd was substantially louder than the music. I used some pretty
aggressive compression/limiting to get the crowd down to the music level. I tried
to affect the actual music as little as possible, but it's not perfect. Set 2 levels
have better balanced.

Thanks for this. Too bad the idiots around you make the acoustic portion virtually unlistenable. This must be so frustrating as a taper.
Why people think it's ok to just carry on conversations at shows while others around you are there to listen to the music continues to baffle me. |
