Tracking notes:
-Mississippi Half-Step cuts in during the third verse
-Drums is tracked with Truckin'
-The very end of Drums is cut.
-It seems that Space was played, though missing, as a brief transition
from Space into the Jam is present right after the cut.

Tagging notes:
Show information is embedded within the header of each flac file.
It will display on any player capable of directly playing flac files.
If converted to wav during processing, all tags will be
stripped, however audio data will remain unaffected.
If you must transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy.
Use ffp to validate audio integrity.
Md5 values will change if tagging is altered.

Thank you, Bob Wagner...and Charlie Miller too!

Love it, love it, love it, thanks again!

Thanks Germain!

As 1978 heads towards the finish line, have you decided which year is next? I'd love to keep going into 1979, or 1980

'78 has been fun.
germain 2011-04-16 16:12:21
I'll move on into 1979 next. The undecided question is what'll be after that. I'm inclined to jump back and pick up the 60's. I've tagged 66-68 , but am just getting ready to start 69. I guess it will depend on whether I can get through 69 before I finish seeding 79.
If I were a betting man, I'd lay my money on 1980.

All good ideas, thanks for all your work Germain

Personally, I'd much prefer jumping back into the 1960's to fill the back-end before moving forward. Earlier Dead is also my favorite period. Just giving my 2-cents to Germain. Thanks for posting this series of Tagged shows :)

All this gets a bit technical for me sometimes, but I am curious why you say "If you must transcode to a lossy format, do so directly Flac > Lossy" "

I convert from flac>wav>mp3 for my ipod.

Also, does anyone here know about Rockbox. Is this a good solution for playing flacs in an ipod? Does it create any issues?

Thanks in advance for your help. And thanks for posting all these shows!
germain 2011-04-17 08:27:19
By transcoding to wav then to mp3, the tags to the files are being stripped. Various applications will transcode from flac to mp3 and keep the tags in place. I use Winamp Pro when I want to create an mp3.
