not sure if this was a failed attempt at comedy (there are, uh, comedy forums/blogs for this type thing. but, since there's no comedy actually here, it'd go over pretty poorly there, too.), but there's a lot of folks who spend good time and money lugging their shit in (yes, i know, you've heard all this all before) because it's their hobby and they like the band. your pathetic attempts at jabs at the phish community, which have grown into jabs at the GD community, well, just what's the fucking point? you think some take it too seriously? great, but do you stand outside the gifted and talented classrooms admonishing those go-getters to be dumber? do you stand outside church screaming, "there's another way!!!"? i just don't get the point, and as someone who was born laughing, i haven't cracked a smile at this yet. i don't really see anyone's panties wadded, i don't see any "fussy britches", just a handful of folks asking collectively "WTF?" some flip flops here too, at once raging then, oh i see--it's comedy, which is sad so sad, but still i ask WHAT'S THE FUCKING POINT? |

If you need a "point", here is one:
By posting this now, in the manner that it has, the Seed garners attention (like you see) on why you should NOT do this in the future. By making a huge joke of the Streamed Source, it subtly suggests to others that may be thinking of doing the same thing that it is NOT a good idea.
Rather than being an overbearing taper asshat and demanding that no one seed the Streamed Sources, the Seeder accomplished the same ends with a spot of humor.
I rather think its brilliant.

All i can say is READ THE COMMENTS. the "point" is CLEARLY stated if you don't get it then YOU are the person it is pointed at. Once again I hold out an olive branch with a joint tied to the end to ANYONE who takes offence to this. just my meaningless .02; I didn't find this funny at all, not pissed, but not at all amused. At first glance (having legitamtely gotten into taping
in the past year) I was actually a little upset that this was posted, then sort of gathered that this has to be a 'joke' of some sort so
became angrily interested to what was going on. I'm in the same boat as Cville and some others: this is a legitimate live music torrent
site and while the idea could be seen as funny actually posting a terrible recording that at least a few people will download without
knowing better is kind a dick move. Its kind of like that reality tv couple crashing a white house party a year or so ago, yeah they
pretended to be important and got people talking but they're still just a couple of douchebags. |
