Thanks for your time and sharing these final GD shows, WHARFRAT73 and Charlie. This last GD show means a lot to me and I've never heard the 7/8 show before so I'm looking forward to it. My last GD show was on 6/24 at RFK. I should of planned to go to the 6/25 show, but due to the way '95 was evolving I made plans to split up my intake of music for that weekend and went up to see Phish in Philly that night. In hindsight, I regret not seeing the second RFK show. I heard it was the better of the two nights. I just never believed the end was so near for Jerry.
This year I'll be remembering these last shows of Jerry's while taking in all the good vibes at the Oregon Country Fair on 7/8-9. His spirit most definitely lives on in those sacred grounds in Veneta. Peace to all. |

| I remember that I needed to get back home for work the next morning and had a little bit of a drive ahead of me. So during Black Muddy River I was headed for the exits to beat the crowd just a little bit. I recall that just before I left the view of the stage I turned around and saw Jerry up on the big screen looking pale and frail. I stopped...wiped a tear from my eye...and literally bid a farewell to Jerry...complete with a wave and a blown kiss. It haunts me to this day. |
