Sorry for the delay. Not my best recording by any stretch. Lots of wind at the venue last night. not expecting to go to this show until 18 hours prior....... Jeff Frank was trying to talk me into it since I had a 1:10 Mets game. He said, get me into the game, and I will get you to and from the show. I got him in a luxury suite, and the rest is history. Talked to my buddy taper Jon as I was walking in at 7:15 for the 7:30 start. He said try and get with Todd FOB as it is WINDY as all hell. I did, and unfortunately, I never got to hang with Jon.
A good time none the less. I thoroughly enjoyed Weather Report Suite and the Unbroken Chain! Some nice moments. Thanks to Derek on sound and Preston on lights. Great to hang with Todd FOB. Nice to see Jeff as always. Thanks for the use of the bigger wind screens. Thanks Todd for the clamp space!
Dinner tonight was a stop at Bagel Oasis for an Everything Bagel with Chopped Liver and a Yoohoo. Up early for work.

| Dry your eyes on the L.I. wind. It was non-stop steady light wind not a breeze. A handicap for sure thanks for all your efforts. |

| Very easy access to the highway was huge too, especially after it taking an hour to break free of the Bethel Woods lot and the 2-3 mile backup at a stop light where they should have been directing traffic. |

Yeah the view at Jones is great but the no booze thing sucks unless you manage to get a VIP ticket to the VIP beer tent, but you cannot bring the beer back to the stand. What B.S.!

| What's with all the complaints about "no booze"? When did deadheads start saying, "I really can't enjoy a dead show unless I can get drunk"? Get over it, alkies. I've seen enough stupid, drunk concertgoers to last me a lifetime. I LOVE when they have no-booze policies. If that's the worst you can say about Jones Beach that they don't server alcohol then I say that's a huge PLUS for the venue. |

nothing at aLL wrong with wanting a cold beer on a hot day at a good show. hopefully, AA will sponsor a festival next year. just can't use a credit card to buy since that would reveal a last name. ddduuuuuhhhhhhhhhhhhh...wha????? no booze = no go. it's part of the ampitheater experience. always thought Jones Beach had the looks of one of the best ampi's in the country, but the no booze thing will keep me here...we still have dry counties down here in the south you know. i once had to drive from W Tenn over into Missouri just to get a quart of beer. made me wanna drink TWO quarts.

| Is having obnoxious loudmouths screaming within earshot also part of the "amphitheatre experience"? What about dancing in puddles of beer or vomit? Or, what about having beer spilled on you? Just curious; I guess I've got my priorities wrong. |

Couldn't agree more about the alcohol. I got a free Coke at the Rock N' Bowl seeing Sonny Landreth and Tab Benoit Saturday night because the bar gal said I was patient while the alcohol drinkers rudely couldn't wait for their next one and she appreciated it. I am enjoying not drinking greatly (thank goodness for GatorAid for my own gigs!).

It used to be complaints about all the kids who were too dosed and would be screaming at the top of their lungs, never mind drunk!
Moderation in everything (except sex maybe).
Too much of everything is just enough...
