|Sorry for the typos.
Knew and seeDing.
|Nice spin ball swinger.
|Thank you for busting this out.
Can't wait to jam this.
I have to chime in because looking back at the over-dramatic comments of lastube I needing to see what was going on and instantly came to the conclusion that the taper got offensive about a BH fan 'altering' the sound for his listening pleasure.
I didn't read anything about 'circulating' or 'seeding' so lastubes comments were a little uncalled for and yes as GG put it comes off as 'ball swinging'.
I haven't heard this yet, but have dl'd a lot of bad recordings that I had to 'alter' myself for my collection.
I don't seed either so unless someone actually 'alters' a recording and then uploads it then get mad about it, but you shouldn't assume someone is going to unless they say they will.
Thanks again for this show it looks awesome!!
|When someone states in a comment thread on a torrent site about "cleaning up" a recording, it sends up red flags to me, as it would any taper, so that is why I requested that version not be re-seeded, simple as that.
I get it though, I have made tons of what I call "car discs" where I have run bass roll off, or hard limiters on crowd responses, so they sound better on my Honda's stock car stereo system. I don't care if others do the same. The original sources will always sound best on high end playback systems though.
I just try to make the recording as good as I can at the show, and the source I post has only been dithered to 16 bit from 24 bit, and resampled from 48 to 44.1 kHz. No EQ, few level adjustments, just as close to the original as possible. That's just my take, sorry to stir up anything.
Hope everyone has enjoyed these recordings.
I didn't mean to offend you what so ever with the whole 'clean up' comment. Your recording sounds fine I wasn't saying that it didn't. I sorta took offense to what you wrote as well so it is what it is on that.
I am just really picky with sound as my collection is about 70% sbd and I usually don't collect aud's so much except when it comes to Hornsby as I will collect anything of his.
Bruce doesn't always come out that well on audience recordings, there is either too much bass or too little vocal so I tend to adjust to my liking and that is all I ment.
I would never seed anything I adjusted, hell I don't bother seeded these days anyways.
As for the 'newby' comment your boy left...I use to seed shows in the mid-late 90's probably before most people had pc's and heard of torrent sites.
I am totally grateful that you taped my favorite band and up'd it and again I thank you for that.
FWIW I jam my stuff on my over-priced Bose in my car and in my home and yes it does sound great on high end systems.

|Holy bass Batman.
I too had to EQ this.
I never got if you can make it sound better before you unleash it to the masses then please do so, because the 'original sound/source' isn't good on this one.
...thats just my take.
