was at this one. i believe this is the retirement of the Sears' Wishbook, and my man dave came out with the absolute tackiest plaid blazer you can think of in memoriam. you can hear my little house mate at the end of the acoustic numbers, with his shrill voice, yelling for his buddy Boyd. also one of the few versions of "Redemption Song".

was Kristen Asbury that singer that used to show up whenever Dave couldn't make it down to Richmond? I remember her doing a good version of "second that emotion."

she was a beautiful girl, with an equitably beautiful voice. she would guest often, but i'm not sure about her filling in for dave (i am assuming you mean the Floodzone. you and i were probably at a lot of the same shows, it sounds like.). she had her own band that did all right around this time, but i can't remember their name. there was always constant chatter about so-and-so joining up after sitting in for a period. there was one cat, can't remember his name, a percussionist from brooklyn who sat in a lot and then sadly killed himself. richard harding, also from ny, played with them a lot...he had long straight brown hair and played flute in addition to sop and alto saxes, if i recall correctly.

i'm gonna go ahead and overpost: searching for asbury, it shows that she's done some background vocals since then, cracker most notably, and also for another cville voice, shannon worrell. i'm going to go ahead and say it, hope it doesn't offend: she was a light-skinned black chic. HOTT.

Sure, I was going to post the shows I have from this era. It's been fun listening to these again. So far the 4/2/93 show is the only one you've posted that I have.
