This has been sitting on my harddrive for over 6 years and I figured it was time to release this beast! I believe this is the only uploaded source. Very special night - enjoy!
cvillehick 2011-08-14 15:40:50
oh my...the first i've seen of it. stage lip...NICE. are you planning on upping a 16 bit, also? either way, THANKS A LOT.
caravaggio1600 2011-08-14 16:29:41
Thank you x 5,000! If you have any other Medeski shows you have not released, please do and I will buy you a steak dinner at Ruth Chris Steak House.
Halowdance 2011-08-14 17:06:13
Thank you!
sonicsound 2011-08-14 17:10:49
A multi track was being recorded that night but was never released. The onstage stereo imaging and warm tube sound on this recording is all you need to feel like you were there that nigh at the Tritone. I felt that after 6 years this epic should be shared with the community.

Thanks! Looks excellent.

<off topic> I'm trying to upload my 11-13-10 MMW recording but am having problems creating the FFP file, which I know is easy and I know I've done before. I'm using the fingerprint button in flac frontend but it just creates an empty text file. Any thoughts? Feel free to email me at ryantfrank AT gmail DOT com.

Thank you for this presumed gem!
frankrt 2011-08-14 21:53:50
Nevermind on the FFP issue - I just grabbed Trader's Little Helper, which works perfectly! Thanks again!
newplanet7 2011-08-14 22:47:30
Wow! This is very very nice! Great soundstage.
I love taping on-stage/stage-lip.
True stereo. When taping farther back most of the stereo effect on the recording is room and crowd. Not actual band.

Wow, thanks!
diskobean 2011-08-15 23:05:36
Thanks Sam :)
RandyBayers 2011-08-17 09:57:47
wonderful post, sonicsound!
I wonder, was this billed as a Calvin Weston show?
bombdiggity 2011-08-18 13:18:12
Well thanks a lot. This looks like how I most like to hear him.
timk 2011-08-24 04:02:05
Thanks, greatly appreciated!

This set smokes! And the sound is fantastic. Thanks so much for sharing. Electric period Miles fans must grab this. Love love love this!
RandyBayers 2011-08-27 08:49:09
you sure this wasn't billed as: Calvin Weston & Dion Paci's Mad Cow?
duggy 2011-08-29 14:05:32
Hey, Sam. Firstly, THANKS FOR THIS! WOO!

[I sent the following to your comcast email, but it was bounced back as undeliverable so I'm posting it here in hopes you'll see it!]

2ndly, would you mind if I shared my converted 16bit files on bt.etree? I need to downsample for myself, and I know others do to, so it'd be cool to have an official 16bit source that we're all sharing, rather than everyone creating their own -- just keeps the source pool cleaner in the long run.

I've done this in the past for other MMW and related gigs ... I'm the source admin for MMW in db.etree, and myself and a couple others run The Shack Project on bt.etree for sharing MMW ... just some background to let you know I'm not a noobie or something and don't know what I'm doing! HA!

So, let me know if you'd mind me sharing the 16bit files ...

And thanks again for sharing!

Oh, and I've added a source entry here:
http://db.etree.org/shn/115851

... and I corrected the date in the text file to read 11/25/2005 (NOT 12/29/2005)

<<you sure this wasn't billed as: Calvin Weston & Dion Paci's Mad Cow?>>

Randy--

I remember these well, but can't remember if I was at this one. These were indeed G.Calvin Weston shows, but he
was calling this incarnation "The Supreme Court". I know I was at the ones in Nov.'05 at the Tritone & when he would
intro the players, he would say, "on keyboards...Chief Justice John Medeski!!" & so on.

Cheers!!
