Though I wonder how you are doing the 16/48 > 16/44 conversion??? Are you going analog out from your DAT into your R4???

That's about as perfect as you can get it! I'm doing R500 > SPDIF > HD-P2 > CF-Card Reader > PC...
As for any 16/48 > 16/44 conversion, I've been using r8brain per Sobel's recommendation. Its' simple and free... Check it out...
