Thanks for upping the show so quick bro! I already gave it a listening too after seeing that setlist :) Wow, you really nailed your sound with that effect pedal, it adds a whole other dimension. Flow of the show is, I like how you starting to get comfortable and taking chances with your original songs. Even straight forward songs like Ball and Chain had jams/improve throughout and sounded great. Why not play it differently if the mood fits? That's the mentality to maintain and will always keep things fresh.
I dig all the covers and I realize you cater to new audiences, but to really come into your own, you need to focus on playing at least 2 to 1 ratio, 2 being original, 1 being covers. I didnt count them, but you seemed to hit that ratio on the head with this show.
Nothing sounded forced or predetermined either, the segues are genuine and flow nicely. You are easily one of the best seguers going right now, and probably the best as far as solo artists go. I love the "outside of the box" approach you are taking rather than sticking to the traditional singer/songwriter concept of doing things.
Hard to believe this is your 1st show of a 2 week tour. Keep doing what you are doing and do everything you can to get these recording into peoples ears and everything will fall in place for you. You really do got something special going here.

That's pretty incredible that you pulled off a show like that with a broken finger on your playing hand! I know it's your pinkie, but still a finger..lol
This show is fantastic, can't wait to hear how this tour progresses if this is the 1st of 15. Keep them uploads coming, next best thing to being there. |
