Here is tonight's Crooked Still show from the Somerville Theatre. Kinda had this on my radar. A long 2 days of work, but got done by 7:00. Drove through a driving rainstorm. The show was almost sold out. I found the LAST parking space in the municipal lot. Ran down the street at 8:00 and in the door. I went next to the light board and was given the ok by their lighting director. Due to the heavy rains, the show was held up about 20 minutes. That gave me the tine I needed to be set up and ready to roll. I have not seen these guys for years. Being their 10th anniversary, they were playing a 2 night run in the theatre.

We were treated to a short, but sweet 1st set. Aoife let us know there were going to be some special guests, and we found out after a few songs. Very cool having Rushad, their original cellist in the house. Very cool hearing 2 cellists on several tunes. For the start of the 2nd set, we had the original 4 members of the band perform Dig A Hole, very nostalgic. My friend Casey recorded these guys in Vermont and recommended catching a show from their 10th anniversary tour and I am glad I did! Next year, they are taking a break from touring, so check them out before that happens.

I never had a chance to eat dinner, so I treated myself to a large bowl of Coffee Heath Bar Crunch Ice Cream from Richardson’s Dairy-Fresh Ice Cream. They feature this in the concession stand. Late night eats were a Buffalo Chicken Salad from Boston Burger, just across the street.
