BONUS MATRIX TRACK

I wanted to put the original matrix track of "I've Been All Around This World" from 10/3/80 up on SoundCloud (soundcloud.com/hunters-trix) as a stream, but I noticed some unsyncliness due to lack of experience in August 2008. I took the liberty to resync the track, as it is presented here. This track is not intended to replace the original version from the file set of the matrix; it is cut at different timings and would not fit correctly (although I did cut it on a sector boundary, for what it's worth). It should therefore not be given a SHN ID - it is strictly a bonus track for your enjoyment, which happens to be an upgrade of the same portion of the original matrix. Much practice over the last several years has made me hear better and sync better, so I was compelled to revise this here track of a very fine performance, and I figured that I might as well share it on the DL, however OCD this may appear. It would make a nice filler on disc 1 or 2 of HT 81, because it's still fun to burn CDs these days.

Yeah, meta tagging got more popular after I became acquainted with the more "traditionally proper" format for titling tracks, as people can have different preferences for how they want their songs labeled (e.g., with numbers, without numbers). If the meta tagging stayed on the file after converting to other formats, like Apple Lossless, I would have been more inclined to change to meta tagging. Now I have just become stubborn and held on to the old fashioned way of doing things in order to be consistent with pasts mtxs. But thanks to deadicated guys like germain, you can pretty much bet you'll see a tagged version of these files down the road.
hseamons 2011-10-16 18:19:01
Been all around this whole round world. Lord, I just got back today.
badbob 2011-10-17 17:06:41
Hey Hunter, I guess you still be looking around eh?
ArchivalAudio 2011-10-17 21:05:13
Meta tagging does stay on the files, that's how CD text works, then when you use a CD player that suppoert titles, it will show up- That's the point!

I either use Cog to listen to flacs on my mac to a nice stereo - or my Rockboxed iPod in my car
or If I really want to burn to CD
I drop the flacs into Toast and enable CD test, and all the proper meta tagging shows up
It you are on a Mac its easy in xACT - and since you spend so much effort on making great matrix's ( matrices?) what another 10 - 15 minutes to get proper track naming...

It's a professional touch that should NOT be ignored.

I see, the data can stick around for the CD text. You have convinced me, Archival. If and when I make a new - NEW - matrix, I promise I will meta tag it. I will NOT ignore this issue again.
hseamons 2011-10-17 21:20:14
badbob - You got me. I can't find it. You have no idea how frustrating this has been for me.
ArchivalAudio 2011-10-20 02:29:24
Thanx for thinking of meta tagging
if you need any help or suggestions with xACT let em know

"If and when I make a new - NEW - matrix...."
The "if" in this statement troubles me. Please, no ifs, only whens. Thanks for everything.
