Many thanks for this. 2nd set looks massive.

Second set looks massive? I really hope you're kidding. I was at this show. 1st set was great. Pre-drums was one of the worst I've ever seen. Post-space was okay. The Gloria bust saved the show.

Swifty, I would say I disagree but instead, you're just plain wrong, baout the 2nd set that is. Victim was out there; I was the one guy who was ok with Wave To The Wind so... The Crazyfingers Uncle John's was well played. Post space was fantastic and the Dew was, along with 10/8/89, the best that I saw. Jerry never left the stage for the 2nd set...

Supplicationjam, let's just disagree on this. I'm not wrong. The pre-drums, to me, sucked. And having listened to it again to try and a appreciate it, I still think it sucked. Victim is ok(it has grown on me). Wave to the Wind is a waste. Crazy Fingers and Uncle John are pedestrian. Not that they are bad, but these songs never get me going anyway and these versions are just boring. Wheel/Watchtower are good. The Dew was very good, but I can't compare it to some of the best I had seen(9/18/87, 3/30/88). When I listen to this show, the songs I keep going back to are Jack Straw, Music Never Stopped & Gloria.

Swifty I was at this show too and I will agree with that the 1st set was Great!!! The energy during the first set was up there and they were playing Great!! I remember thinking at set break that the 2nd set was going to be amazing with the way they were playing then they opened it with Victim. What an energy drain that was. The pre drums was average at best but things picked up after space. By the time they go to Morning Dew I was in high gear again. The Dew was really good and then Gloria for the encore left a good taste in my mouth. When I think back to this show though it is always the 1st set I remember.

Disagree it is. There were 2 guys standing in front of me before the encore talking about Gloria so not sure if they sound checked but someone knew. Either way, I loved this one and the next night as well as both Copps.

I wasn't at this show but I was at the following night and I think Swifty has the optimal word to describe them, PEDESTRIAN. After the absolutely abysmal St. Patrick's Day show in Philly a week prior, this was better but still far from being notable. I knew the writing was on the wall with Hornsby after this tour, he looked bored and frustrated, and sure enough, it would be his last as a regular member.
