Hey all you MMW peeps & freaks!! I hope that you all are aware of the epic, super-extended, hugely expansive

will be plenty of sitting in between every band.
|thanks so much for sharing all of your bear creek tapes!
|@mmwarchives, speaking of Wicked Knee... I'd love to hear the rest of that 5/12/11 "ep" you released...
I'd love to, but no one bought tix to the show(their loss) & that was the deal on that...maybe someday in the future.
In the meantime, Illy has also released his own "Wicked EP" with some more tracks from that same show available here:
Come see Mago & Wicked Knee if you can--you will not be disappointed!!
Anyone in the NYC area...The Wood Brothers are playing a FREE, 2-set show tomorrow at the Patagonia store on the
Upper East Side of Manhattan.
"The Wood Brothers will play a free show for the opening of Patagonia’s Upper East Side Tin Shed Store.
Tuesday, November 22, 2011
1491 3rd Avenue (at 84th St.)
New York, NY 10028
See you there!"
I hope to see some of you there to enjoy Chris & Oliver's music. We get a full 6:30-9:30 time period.
|Where is this 'Heaven on Earth' song from?
|Heaven On Earth is from the live album Medeski recorded with James Carter. Mago have played it as well ... and The Word, and Medeski's trio with Deitch -- I guess it probably originates in The Word, would be my guess because I think those performances pre-date the James Carter disc ...
|Heaven On Earth is a Larry Young tune from the album of the same name... but everything duggy said is correct too..
|Thanks for that further info, Randy. I'd forgotten that that is where the tune actually originates ... I'm not familiar with the original, but you or Aaron (moniker) mentioned that to me before.
And, HUGE THANKS to the taper for sharing! Much appreciated! I'm listening right now and loving it! I REALLY love We Are Rolling as an opener ...
