You all are welcome, and I am glad you enjoy it. One of the most amazing things about seeding a Medeski show is waiting and watching the leeches showing up. In utorrent, it identifies each leech by a country flag. Last night, within the first few hours, aside from the U.S., I had people from the Netherlands, Italy, France, Iceland!, Japan, Australia and China! [never saw that before]. It is amazing to see all of the Medeski fans from around the world and to know that a recording like this has literally spanned the entire globe.
And thank you RandyBayers for the setlist. |

| I can say that Roosevelt had a hard time with that tune. He was struggling to learn the parts as they played it (he looked a bit frustrated) and I don't blame him, it sounds like a tough song to learn. They really should have chosen a different song when he came out... |

| On a similar note... before the last song of the Scofield Peity Street Band set (with Jon Cleary, George Porter & Shannon Powell), Pee Wee Ellis came to the side of the stage.. George saw him but Sco did not. When the next to last song stopped. George said "hey John" to alert him, but Sco didn't hear him. Sco went on to thank the crowd, announce the last tune, and start playing without ever noticing that Pee Wee was there.. about a minute or two into that last tune, Pee Wee slowly walked off the back of the stage area... |

| oh, and Pee Wee has his sax in hand the whole time.. a damn shame he didn't get to join. |

Yeah, now that I've listened I can hear what you mean, Randy, like you can hear a couple of stumbles in the change ups -- or pauses -- and you can even hear Billy counting it out and saying what's happening next, presumably to Roosevelt. Nonetheless, that soaring pedal steel sound is cool for that tune ... when it's working ... I'm listening again now, and can hear the guy trying to find his way into the tune but it's not quite clicking ... oh well, it was a cool experiment anyway ... I mean there are still some very cool moments in the collaboration, for sure ... |
