| This was a fun show. One historical note: the Mars Pathfinder spacecraft was launched this day, so a most timely "Life on Mars." |

This was an incredible show. For anyone considering downloading it, by all means *do*. Not only is it an awesome show with outstanding, inspired playing, it's a terrific recording. The FOB 140s are my favorite upfront mics and they were used incredibly well this night. It's a nice, evenly balanced recording through the spectrum with full, clear bass and sparkling Fishman cymbals.
I had this on cassette back in the day (a first gen off dat) and one of my recording friends who was a real stickler for sound said "Man, if all cassettes sounded this good, I'd never have gone to dat." I humbly suggest you grab it now.
A KM140 FOB from a few days earlier at UCLA:

The 12-1-96 was another inspired show. My favorite Reba that I've seen, with the possible exception of the Type II one from 10-29-98.

Anyone know if this was Jim Cowans rig? If so, did he tape the entire west run ~11/30-12/4?
To ECBurns' point, there is something really nice about a clean FOB 140 pull.... |

thanks for the info Mr.Burns. is this your setup? also the 12/1/96 could use a seeder or 2. another thing I'm gonna search but I think this is the same setup as when I met you in vegas '97 you hooked me up a B&P with those sweet sounding tapes. You wouldn't happen to know where a kind soul could find those again would you? or anyting and everything from those awesome sounds KM140's
