|Looking forward to this recording...thanks!
|Awesome! This was a fantastic show! There are some moments of pure aural beauty with the three guitars inteweaving. The last tune by Luther has some lovely slide interechanges between him and Anders.
After a nice afternoon at the Treme Gumbo Festival, this was the start of an amazing weekend in New Orleans, with the Kenny Holladay benefit at Checkpoint Charlies the next night followed by Coco Robicheaux's 2nd line and tribute concert at the House of Blues on Monday. The musical community really turned out to honor our fallen brothers.
Thanks again. Don't miss this one!
|Nice work Nick! Hey to Katie!
|Thanks so much, Nick!! Love me some Luther!!(& Anders)
|Another great recording Nick! Luther and Carl were locked in all night. Great music and crowd. Way oversold, but worth the beating my body took up front.
|Spinyn...we got both Sunday at Checkpoints and Monday at HOB, too...
Should see those pretty soon, as well...great weekend, indeed!
|Cool, Nick. Both were great events. I ended up getting in on a song at Coco's tribute late with Ken Swartz. It really meant something to me to be able to take part. I am an Apple Barrel regular and Coco was often there to hear us on Tuesday nights.
|Thanks a lot.
|really like this alot!
|Updated the setlist to include Billy's sit in on Pleasing' You and Got Your Heart...
|Always with the good stuff! thanks Nick
|fuckin sick! I haven't heard Anders like that in a long time and I Loves me some luther.
Very nice job w/ the recording. Jammed it in my truck then continued on at home windows and amp wide open. fat sound, clear guitars.
BTW i thought that I heard Luther take them on a jam (Some of Shelly's Blues- tony furtadao?) during got your heart, anybody else hear that?
