Notes:
- d1 will require either an overburn or the deletion of d1t1 in order to fit on an 80 min disc.
- there were dropouts on d1t09, d2t02 and d2t06, all confirmed on the master dat. I removed the silence from these sections and rejoined the file where the dropout started and ended.. The result is a lot cleaner than hearing abrupt silence and is just barely audible, IMO.

Traders Little Helper used for creating checksums:
- FLAC ST5 & MD5 generated for original FLACs
- FLAC ID3 tagged files matched to original FLAC ST5
- FLAC MD5 generated for ID3 tagged files (t-flac.md5)
MP3Tag (current version) used for all ID3 tagging:
- The metadata ID3 tags can be read by any player that plays FLAC files.
- ID3 tags will be stripped if converted to WAV, however audio data will be unaffected
Use FLAC ST5 to validate audio integrity.
(Alternatively, the FLAC FFP contains the same checksum values.)
t-FLAC MD5 values will change if ID3 tags are altered.
Original FLAC MD5 & ST5 included for reference
T-FLAC16TAG.HTML uses FOLDER.JPG to display album art
T-FLAC16TAG.TXT provides a track-by-track breakdown of the fileset's ID3 tags

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the audio of the original SHN/FLAC filesets -- but now with a twist. We are now seeding ID3 FLAC encoded filesets of db.etree sources which still maintains the audio integrity. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
enjoy the grooves |

Apologies for the copy/paste extravaganza above -- I had two tabs open, thinking they were the two different torrents I just started, and then went to add my comments, but I only had this one open that I ended up double pasting into! HA!
Anyway, this show is SUPER cool! MMW@Tonic=GOOD VIBES!
Throw in Logic and Brahim, and the stakes raise a little higher with the quintet delivering an incredible set of exploration. This really is an AMAZING show. There's groove in here, but there's also a considerable amount of out-playing even in the tracks I've left noted as Improv, not Open Improv -- it's a spacey show at times. But, the band certainly grounds you in groove at times, with each set landing in an EOTWPjic tune.
The debut of Hegaz on this night is real sweet and becomes a tune the band plays numerous times in their April '05 tour -- a couple times with their bus driver Dominic Plato on trumpet, which adds a very cool layer to the sound. Anyway, I really dig this tune with MMW doing it. Those of you who've been around a while might recall I was calling this song Ziphim back when these shows were happening because it really reminded me of a slightly altered version of that Zorn tune. Then I just changed it to "Brahim Boogie" after I was convinced it wasn't Ziphim because I didn't know the tune.
Hegaz is a Club d'Elf tune, I think written by Brahim ... regardless, it's an awesome song and MMW nail it each time.
This gig was billed as Early/Late sets, so they treat the Late set audience to another Hegaz -- you can tell the guys dig playing it!
And of course, after hearing this gig I've always wanted to hear the next night, 3/8/2005, but alas, it's never circulated ... at least, not that I've seen ... |

Just wanted to thank you guys for doing this - I've been a fan for years but in the last couple years my amazement at how good these guys really are just keeps growing - it's like that slow big wave that you see coming and it just keeps growing and growing. Although I'm not d/l'ing all of these, I've cherry-picked some real good ones. Keep up the good work - much appreciated.

I remember having to leave my gear in someone's office @ either 3.7 or 3.8, as they wouldn't allow taping. The venue blamed the band and vice versa. Sad.
