*****PLEASE DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE ANY ALTERED COPY OF THIS FLAC SET*****
-- begging the pardon and advance forgiveness of the above directive's writer, I hope you will understand my intention in sharing these files. I'd like to note that these ID3 tagged FLACs have NOT altered the audio portion of the fileset in any regard, so in effect the redistribution is circulating the EXACT SAME audio data as was originally shared. I trust for the sake of consistency that ID3 tagging these files can be accepted so that this show, along with EVERY OTHER MMW show I'm sharing, can be circulated in this manner as part of The Shack Project's mission to share ALL existing MMW recordings through bt.etree.org
thanks

Traders Little Helper used for creating checksums:
- FLAC ST5 & MD5 generated for original FLACs
- FLAC ID3 tagged files matched to original FLAC ST5
- FLAC MD5 generated for ID3 tagged files (t-flac.md5)
MP3Tag (current version) used for all ID3 tagging:
- The metadata ID3 tags can be read by any player that plays FLAC files.
- ID3 tags will be stripped if converted to WAV, however audio data will be unaffected
Use FLAC ST5 to validate audio integrity.
(Alternatively, the FLAC FFP contains the same checksum values.)
t-FLAC MD5 values will change if ID3 tags are altered.
Original FLAC MD5 & ST5 included for reference

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the audio of the original SHN/FLAC filesets -- but now with a twist. We are now seeding ID3 FLAC encoded filesets of db.etree sources which still maintains the audio integrity. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
enjoy the grooves |

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.
db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

After the loose Tonic performances a few days earlier, we find the band gravitating more to songs during this gig (and the following night, which will be seeded soon), and still favouring the EOTWPjic material at this point having really taken hold of the tunes over the previous year. Some cool covers in here too, with the guys still hammering on the PJ Harvey tunes at this point -- we get The Letter in this gig which doesn't disappoint. I love those PJ Harvey tunes! Olde Wyne is always fun!
We do get some taste of Improv in this show too, which turned out to be a precursor for what the guys would give us in the upcoming April shows of that year -- spring '05 is hot, and '05 in general is full of stellar improv from these guys ...
Whiney Bitches is fantastic. Love the tune and could hear it often without complaint -- I'd like to hear it more! HA! |
