- The metadata ID3 tags can be read by any player that plays FLAC files.
- ID3 tags will be stripped if converted to WAV, however audio data will be unaffected
Use FLAC ST5 to validate audio integrity.
(Alternatively, the FLAC FFP contains the same checksum values.)

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the audio of the original SHN/FLAC filesets -- but now with a twist. We are now seeding ID3
FLAC encoded filesets of db.etree sources which still maintains the audio integrity. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as
we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the tapers, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those that have helped get the tunes to our ears.
And thanks to the other 5 guys I've dragged into this and who seem committed to the cause: Louie, Mike Tom, Todd & Jeff....we're all listening to these shows and
hopefully circulating the best versions.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmw
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwaccess
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd
all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled...maybe forever?)
enjoy the grooves

***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and
guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.
db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

Thanks for helping to spread the grooves.

ahhh April 05'...awesome improv and set lists IMO, wish they'd bring back the pj Harvey tunes
- duggy
Noticed you didn't post my Newport 4-9 source...did I not circulate?

This fileset is an ID3 tagged version of http://db.etree.org/shn/28927
And another single set gig, opening with some wonderful Improv that lands us in the dark Bloody Oil groove ... again, the band tosses in some mid-set Improv surrounded by the tunes of the tour, so to speak ... just another sample from this great month ... and a couple of source choices for you too ... |
| duggy |
2012-02-15 13:48:22 |
Jeff, I don't think you ever circulated it. db.etree lists only the source I seeded for 4/9 -- that's the only source I recall having.
But, if you have another ... well, let's hear it, dood! HA! |

Duggy,
Thank you so much. I didn't have any of the the ten in this batch. This system/project is amazing. I can't thank you enough.
Also,
Since you have been gone, I kept all shows related to MMW. I'll email you a list of them so you can ID and tag them as you love to do.
Thanks again.
Props to jkennedy, newplanet, mmwarchives, shackaholic, scott bernstein, taper joe, Randy Bayers, gator glory and tapejunkie. |
