The eq was used liberally with this tape, seems like the mics may have had the HPF engaged as there was little bass. The midrange around 250-500 Hz was also a bit rude, but now it sounds much better. Level adjustment was +2 dB after track 1. The raw 48k original has been archived.

Back in the cassette days I had about 30 mins of this show as filler & had asked Mark Bernhardt if he still had the source tape. He is gradually un-earthing DATs & couldn't come up with this show, but John sent his master to Mark, & here it is, "mastered" as noted above.

Worth it for "Born Under A Bad Sign" alone!

A small error in the text file, I listed xACT twice, it was actually Audiogate for fades, tracking etc. It's corrected here, wrong in the txt file.

Larry McCray was there but didn't play. Super nice guy....I remember talking to him - must have been before the show because I couldn't have heard him once the Mule started kickin'.

A really good band called Gravy opened. I believe they were from Louisiana or Mississippi - they put out one CD which was very good but then disappeared.

Another minor error that does not affect the music - the transfer was done with a Sony D7 via s/pdif, because the Tascam deck does not play 3-hour DATs! Sorry, force of habit took over...it's correct here but wrong in the txt file once again.

im looking for ann arbor & perrysburg 5-9-98 & 5-11-98. there were a few high end rigs at both and not too many are out there. i recorded them too, but just my marcsounds > rolloff > d8 on a stand. i dont recall seeing these at that mule torrent site last time i checked

Thanks so very much for sharing this. I've been to both versions of Legends more than a few times and can only imagine how great this show must have been!
