FWIW they announce at the beginning of the show "No photography or video taping allowed". That's hardly definitive but...There has been at least one other Mehldau show on etree from Blagnac, FR 11/03/05.

| I agree with you about the importance of bt.etree remaining faithful to its "open taping allowed" only policy. If that policy were to be abandoned I would no longer use the site. I have emailed Mr. Mehldau's contact information asking if he does in fact allow audio taping. I will post any reply I receive. |

Mehldau's work has been up on etree for over 5 years -- I see a Metheny/mehldau show uploaded in March 2007 -- not sure why suddenly it's become an issue when it hasn't been in the years since 2007. If you google "Mehldau DMCA" you will find several takedown notices of released material but none that I can see of live recordings.
OTOH, I totally support any artist's desire in regard to recordings of live shows, so hopefully we'll see what his contact people feel about it. |

Great show. Thank you. A couple of questions:
Were there seven tracks here or eight? Somehow I have seven, but maybe I deleted one by accident.
And has anyone figured out the setlist? Here's what I gathered:
1- D Waltz (Mehldau)
2 - To Hold on or to Let Go (Mehldau)
3 - I Remember You (Standard)
4- Nelson Calling Mode??? (Redman) but couldn't make out the name
5 - My Ideal (Standard)
6 - ?
7 - ?
PS Saw them perform the night after this one at the CSO in Chicago. If anyone has that show, please upload it. They ended with an amazing rendition of "Hey Joe" (made famous by Hendrix) |

Do you have the Joshua Redman September 2001 concert from Champaign? I know it was taped, but the last person with whom I inquired said his copy was stolen and the original taper died in a car accident.
