Sorry for delay, I tried to get this done last night. After a coupler of trains and getting some late night chow, I hit the wall at 3:00 am.. I worked pretty much all day. Left Queens at around 5:45 on the 7 train. Arrived to Beacon at about 6:25, just enough time to grab a slice at Fred & Pepper's. Margarita Slice with Fresh Mozzarella and Fresh Basil. Went inside and hung in hallway with Jon, Taper Rob, and a few others until doors to floor opened. I did not want to deal with pushy security or claiming someones seats. I made a trade with a couple early on, AFTER the foreign security idiot harassed me! Never looked back after that. Had a couple next to me that joined the crowd for the first 3 sing-a-long songs, oy! Not too present on the recording thankfully! I borrowed Tom's Super Clamp and boom arm for the 2nd set, and that pretty much took care of that!
It was evident after the opening 3 songs, that tonight was going to make 4/17/2012 a distant memory. Some nice song selections for sure. The 1st set had a 2nd set "feel" about ti and it was almost 88 minutes long. Tonight we were treated to some 60's catalague, Easy Wind, Viola Lee, Cosmic Charlie, Dark Star>Other One (Twice no less!), etc. The Help>Slip>Frank, had Golden Road interjected for good measure!
After I got back to Queens, I made a quick stop at Rose's Pizza for a huge slice of Eggplant Parmesan Pizza and some Garlic Knots. This made tracking out much better. It also did me in and I went to bed by 3:00 due to work this morning. Off to work.
Nice to hang with Jeff Frank for 2 nights. He arrived after HCS as he was at the Daily Show in the audience.
It came out nice, enjoy show #51 0f 2012!

| Thanks a lot Zman! I listened to the stream and this show was definitely a great end to their long NYC run. Can't wait to hear it again before I head out to the movie theater tonight to watch the 7/18/89 show. |
