Thanks Hunter. I love this show - Playin' is just gooey and the St. Stephen > NFA is very smooth. Still think this is an underrated second set!!!

This Wheel and subsequent jam was featured on the So Many Roads box set.

Tell you something you don't know? Um.........The first Ferris wheel made its debut in Chicago at the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. Today, Chicago's Navy Pier is home to a 15-story Ferris wheel, modeled after the original one. It is apparently a wheel you CAN hold on to and CAN let go of.

Folks, don't miss the recent 9/1/79 matrix SNAFU, of which this is the surviving track:

Just realizing how chalk full of "rain" songs this show has:

Cassidy ("Wheel to the storm and fly"); Mission; LLR; Brown Eyed Women; Lightning > Supplication; TMNS ("Balls of lightning roll along"); Wheel; St. Stephen ("Country garland in the wind and the rain"); U.S. Blues ("Come shine or rain"). That's like, TEN rain songs! I wonder what the record is for rain songs in one show. Was it this show??? It is! OMG! It IS this show! This is the official Grateful Dead rain show!!!!! Holy cow!!!

Gooey Playin' indeed - contains one of the very last Tiger jams - corrosively low pH!
