On November 16, 1992 I saw Cypress Hill open for the Beastie Boys at the Edge on University Blvd in Jacksonville, FL. It was a show that changed the way I looked at live music and started an obsession that's still with me to this day.
It only took me 17 years to see them again but I was lucky enough to get to record it.
Thanks for the memories and inspiration Adam Yauch.
RIP MCA

Thanks for this. I put down my windows and cranked Paul's Boutique to obnoxious levels on my way home from work this evening. They were a crucial step in the evolution of hip-hop, black or white, plus they gave a shit about the world.
Thanks and peace out MCA |

The news of MCA's passing truly saddened me. I remember when I got my first stereo one of the first cassette tapes I had was "Licensed to Ill". One of the greatest and most iconic albums of all time. The Beastie Boys were true pioneers in every sense of the word. R.I.P. MCA. Thanks for all the incredible music and absolutely insane live shows. You shall be missed.

| I'm still having a hard time processing this, just so young & someone you grew up listening too. Just sad. I was watching some you tube clips & there were a decent amount of rigs in the video, I think yours can be seen as I was wondering who ran the split t-bar. Thank you for taping & sharing. |

Wow, definitely my split "Gak-Bar" rig, complete with the mic monkey hanging from it ;)
I had not seen this, thanks so much for posting. Also I didn't realize it was the last Beasties show ever :(

"Now my name is M.C.A. I've got a license to kill
I think you know what time it is it's time to get ill
Now what do we have here an outlaw and his beer
I run this land, you understand I make myself clear."
We stepped into the wind he had a gun, I had a grin
