i thought phil was gonna release the sbds for the shows, it seems like its taking forever! glad we got this til those come out.

thanks for recording this show and sharing it with the community.
it really is a shame how rude and disrespectful the crowds have been at some of these shows.
no doubt there are other recordings that will never see the light of day because some people think their yelling, screaming and chatting with friends is more important than the music. |

Yes, the downside to the 'intimate' nature of this venue is that people treat it like any other bar or nightclub. It blows my mind that people will plop down $65 or even $150 for a ticket and just talk through the whole damn show. It's not respectful to the other people who paid to hear the music, and it's not respectful to Phil or the excellent musicians he chooses to play with. I have nothing against people talking quietly in their friends ear now and then but people just talk loudly, constantly, at the top of their voices, yelling even. I didn't pay to hear them!
Though I do hope if there are uncirculated recordings of any of these shows that they get out, even with the crowd noise and all. There has been all too little documentation of the amazing music made at this place so far. |
