Great show. Epic "Dancin'" if I recall correctly.

thanks for the new source! Lots of new sources lately I love it!

Yes, epic. The Uncle John's jam is amazing.

Thank you for the new source. Judging by the reviews at LMA, this is a pretty good show. Hard to go wrong with Fall '84. Can anybody comment on the sound quality of this source, please?
DiggerinVa 2012-05-15 04:45:24
It is a unusual recording in that Sec 8 is the front center section. The mic's were in the front row, the PA was actually above and behind them. So the sound is from the stage monitor's and fill speakers not the PA. Quality well that is up to you. It has always been a favorite recording of mine.

Thanks so much for this show! The ONE i've been looking for since i lost my cassette copy...

I remember i crashed my Dad's lumber van into a UPS truck in '85 while jamming to this Uncle John's Band!
:)

Many many thanks!
We were at these shows with our 4month old son Cassidy. It was great that they played Cassidy for him (even tho I'm sure he was asleep)!

This show has the drummers coming back to jam with the crowd which is still doing the NFA chant right before the encore starts. i think.

Is that TEAC ME-120? or is ME-20 correct?
DiggerinVa 2012-05-15 15:55:03
ME-20 is correct
stretchjn 2012-05-15 16:52:34
Thank you

What is an ME-20? - is that an lavaliere mic?
DiggerinVa 2012-05-15 18:50:55
Actually a condenser that terminated to a 1/4 inch. I wonder where they went.
setboy 2012-05-15 22:21:02
Thanks! Ever since I hear about how you taped this I wanted to hear it!
Albix 2012-05-16 08:23:52
I like the sound on this one, thanks!
nak700 2012-05-16 10:18:24
I was in Sec. 8, Row G the night before. Crazy. I didn't realize a taper was in Row A. The 18th I got Sec. 7 Row M. :(
