I recall seeing a photo in Book of the Deadheads of the boys doing this show in front of some kids in wheelchairs and seem to remember this show being a benefit (for the disabled?). Anyone remember or have BotDH handy?
I've always wanted this set and never knew it circulated.
Thanks to Scott Clugston and to Bill (germain) for upping it.

Bill-
You're the man. That's *exactly* the photo I was speaking of. Wasn't it a benefit for disabled kids?

"Wasn't it a benefit for disabled kids?"
Yes
Listen to the intro when the lady who was MC thanked the clowns who had just performed, couldn't pronounce Bob's name and told the kids of the special guest (Santa Claus) who would make an appearance after the show.
For there being no PA present, Betty did a remarkable job capturing the music. |

Classic...."Bob Ware?" I love that the clowns got a big thanks and almost surprised that one of the band didn't chime in with a "What, us?"
>and told the kids of the special guest (Santa Claus) who would make an appearance after the show.
I wonder if Jerry did double duty as Kris Kringle this day. ;^} Now *that* would've been a picture. =^D

Completely agreed. This set is a delight. If it ever gets to the point where it's unseeded here, you can either PM me and I'll re-seed or you can get it here:

Enjoy.

Did a little poking around and found out the show was a benefit show for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
And someone else noted:
' "If you turn this WAY up, you can hear a child say, "I want rock and roll." Jerry, being a kind soul, said, "You do?! This song is kinda like rock and roll. This next song." They then go into an outstanding Cassidy.'
That's the kind of gig this is. 8^}

| I'm surprised that the GD performed such a standard acoustic set for such a 'special' show. They did not stray from their Warfield/RCMH acoustic songlist one bit. |
