| I had them split 2' before the rains came but had to run them close to NOS to protect the mics under my umbrella. You can call it A-B small split or whatever. I tried to point the mics at the stacks more or less. It came out pretty damn good IMO and the omnis sure did cut out alot of the wind noise. Taping at Mtn. Jam is a challenge to say the least, so improvising is the only way sometimes. |

| Omnis are key in wind. I bought mine to run at Telluride and other outdoor CO venues. LOve them. Good job in bad conditions! |

Thanks for the kind words ricky.
Taping in the rain sux, but on "Monkey Hill" we tapers prevailed!
I have always been able to make a decent pull with them outdoors and they are surprisingly very directional. Gotta have a sturdy stand also, otherwise your mics sway back and forth too much and introduce more phase issues. I saw a few Manfrotto's whipping around like they were fishing rods! |
