We had some friends that were hot on Doc Watson and we were soon to discover why.
Our group occupied two of the round 4-person tables center stage and just one table back.
This was a magical evening with the stories and general approach to playing for us like we were in Doc's living room.
If this is not enough the recording equipment captured this show in superb detail and clairity while the crowd was quiet for MOST of the show.
Very little editing was required.
Some individual clapping was removed with applause volume modified and some microphone shuffling noises were removed.
Conversations at the table were shushed more than once during the last few songs of the first set.
Doc's encore "Tell It To Me" was a pointed comment to our friends (he was blind but could hear all that sniffing pretty easy).
That party favor didn't fit well with taping and trying to be quiet (and quite bad for your health as we all know).
Didn't invite them on recording adventures again.
We moved the left microphone for the second set and that channell became a bit weaker after that.
Had to be moved again during "If I Needed You" and a small amount of shuffling can be heard for a few seconds.
The sound was centered during the editing by adding a portion of the right into the left (still favors the right a bit).
This gives it a little less seperation and depth but presents a more centered mix.
