THIS AUDIO FILESET IS ENCODED IN DTS AUDIO FORMAT

········································································
MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR DTS SURROUND SOUND AUDIO:
········································································

1. A playback device that recognizes/decodes DTS. Most (but not all) DVD and Blu-Ray players do. If yours is DTS-compatable, it will most likely have a "dts" logo on the front of the player. Some standard audio CD players will transmit dts audio to your receiver, but only via a digital cable.

2. A receiver that recognizes/decodes DTS. Check your owner's manual or do a web search for the manufacturer & model number to see if yours is DTS-ready.

3. The playback device and receiver MUST be connected digitally (by HDMI, SPDIF/coaxial, or optical/toslink cable).

4. A multiple speaker configuration with at least 4 speakers: Front Left, Front Right, Rear Left, and Rear Right channels. A center channel speaker and subwoofer are highly recommended but not necessary.

IF YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE THAT YOUR SYSTEM IS DTS COMPATABLE, DO THE FOLLOWING TEST WITH YOUR CD AFTER BURNING:

1. Turn the volume on your receiver all the way down.
2. Start playing the disc and raise the volume gradually. If you hear music, your system will work. If you hear static/ white noise, your system will not work, or it is not set up properly.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO PLAY A DTS-AUDIO CD USING THE ANALOG AUDIO OUTPUTS OF YOUR CD/DVD PLAYER

········································································
CD BURNING INSTRUCTIONS:
········································································

Extract the FLAC files and burn to CD-R exactly the same way you would burn a normal Audio CD. Do not edit the WAV files at all - any edits will destroy the DTS encoding. CD-Text can be added with no problems.

········································································
FOR THE BEST LISTENING EXPERIENCE:
········································································

Make sure all of your speakers have the levels equally matched. Most decoders/receivers have a function for setting your levels. This does not necessarily mean the rear channels will be as loud as the front channels on playback. In fact, in most cases they are not as loud, and that is how the recording is intended to be heard.

Set your surround decoder/receiver to use the "bass management" setting, where all low frequencies are sent to the subwoofer (not just the audio present in the LFE channel). If you are not using a subwoofer, the low frequency content should be sent to the front speaker pair (assuming this pair is better at reproducing bass frequencies). Most decoders/receivers will do this automatically if your "speaker size" and other settings are correct.

Notes:

SBD feed was R channel only for first 45 seconds or so (R channel from this segment was copied to L channel for mixdown). There were several pops and clicks in the SBD audio - especially during the 1st song. These were edited manually using the pencil tool in Sound Forge. Some slightly audible glitches remain that could not be located in the waveform. Some of these glitches could be heard over the PA, and those were also fixed where possible.
