Traders Little Helper used for creating checksums:
- FLAC ST5 & MD5 generated for original FLACs
- FLAC ID3 tagged files matched to original FLAC ST5
- FLAC MD5 generated for ID3 tagged files (t-flac.md5)
MP3Tag (current version) used for all ID3 tagging:
- The metadata ID3 tags can be read by any player that plays FLAC files.
- ID3 tags will be stripped if converted to WAV, however audio data will be unaffected
Use FLAC ST5 to validate audio integrity.
(Alternatively, the FLAC FFP contains the same checksum values.)
t-FLAC MD5 values will change if ID3 tags are altered.
Original FLAC MD5 & ST5 included for reference
T-FLAC16TAG.HTML uses FOLDER.JPG to display album art
T-FLAC16TAG.TXT provides a track-by-track breakdown of the fileset's ID3 tags

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the audio of the original SHN/FLAC filesets -- but now with a twist. We are now seeding ID3 FLAC encoded filesets of db.etree sources which still maintains the audio integrity. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the TAPERS, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those others who have helped get the tunes to our ears.
These shows are all being listened to, setlists updated, flaws noted and/or corrected, and hopefully we're circulating the best seeds we can.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled and is grossly out of date ... maybe forever? Worth a look though!)
enjoy the grooves
***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.
db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

... hopefully somebody who grabbed a fileset you need can go back and help you out. Folks, please revisit these old torrents and see if anyone needs some help. Thanks for helping to spread the grooves.
**NOTE** I am trying to leave all new torrents open indefinitely since my new internet connection affords me ample bandwidth to keep on seeding! (dug - Jan 2012)
|Best of both worlds for me: Set I opener = The Dropper; Set II opener = We Are Rolling -- these are two of my favourite all-time MMW tunes, so I'll just say grab this as the grooves that push through from the openers through the sets is worth the listen, folks ... the band is all over these tunes ... Dom, the bus driver, makes another trumpet appearance, this time on Bone Digger -- I dig him! 3rd Stone has a nice mid-tune Drum Solo ... and some classic tunes to close out the halves: Acht O'Clock Rock, and the encore of Blue Pepper sprinkles this evening with more of what I like ... sounds good to me ...
|Thank you Duggy!!
|Thanks Duggy! I was at this show (the poster still hangs inside the building). Got to meet the band before the show and John told me a great story of electrocuting himself while re-wiring his B3.
|DAMN IT! I f#cked up one of the ID Tags -- Note Blue should clearly be Note Bleu -- I've updated the info above and the db.etree entry but folks will need to update their own txt files and their ID3 tag for that track. Sorry for that! This will alter the MD5 checksum for the t-flac, but I'll post what my MD5 value changes to when I get home and update my FLAC fileset.
