Tapers NOTES: The sound was a nighmare this night thats why nobody has yet to put up a source.This source musically is GREAT!
It does lack vocals (the whole mix did) This is a PRIME example how mule sounds on-stage. the vocals are low, but the music is just clear and clean. I did try to boost the vocals but no-matter what I tried it took away from the recording,which is what I didnt want so I lightly EQ'd the stage sound.If someone put up a good vocal source or if I can find a copy of a ...whatever. I might matrix this.
This is the deal: I set up onstage lip with mic's 2-1/2 ft off top of stage in front of Warren.There was a speaker under my mics which should have been vocals off the stage. insted,They pushed warrens guitar higher then the vocals so thats why its lacking, all I was getting was Warren thru NO PA hence the distant vocals.Im putting this out because nobody has.I am receiving another MG210 source soon, from BISH. You wont have a problem hearing any of the band on this!!
THIS is A LOUD Onstage recording of the band!Its worth the listen just for the *Opium!

Please READ Tapers Notes.
copys dont circulate due to venues poor sound. everyone I know who taped said thier recordings sound horrible. Im sure there a gem out there.
This is 100% Onstage sound with lower vocals. GREAT musical recording,just lacks vocals.
if you like raw hard mule,this is quite the listen musically.
I will be putting up a MG210 source of this soon also.

is there any tapers or audiophiles who would like a site put together so we can talk music projects,collections,original files and talking about further music project of ALL things ABB and Mule,POA, WHB ect? all of which we intend to share.or work on?
I will head the muleproject.I'de like to get as many uploaders as possible to join who share mule. this way we are all on the same page to etree file standards and how to use the database to benefit all.
In return we will fill each others collections, remaster bad recordings,and work togwether to transfer anything else out there we can?
we can use the Mulearmy site OR I can create a FB group, your choice.
I hope this grabs someone attention
you know what you get when you hitch up a team of mules?
....I dont either but I would really like to see.
together we ALL can achieve BIG things working "together" collectively as a group of hard core music fans and traders.

Do you think the dB limit on the Raleigh Amphitheater had something to do with the mix? (because it is RIGHT downtown next to the Cop Shop and a lot more yuppies have urbanized, hence the "keep it down" unwritten rule - kinda like Koka Booth in Cary, which just got the OK to "raise" their levels from 90 dB to 95....*laugh*) |

| brofan...that may be part of it. the other part may be the environmental set up...in regard to how the sound travels. with limited space and city buildings and traffic right at the edge that may contribute to the sound distribution. although the shows i've attended sound great while you're in the venue. in a design and acoustical sense...it definitely may not be set up well for taping. i don't really know as i'm not an expect on the sound engineering aspect of the structural design of the amphitheatre. i'm not sure on the city requirements for sound. it is a fun place to see a show! easy to get in and easy to get out. lots of things to do after the show in the city. i've heard a few other shows recorded there and they seemed ok...not the best and not the worst. at least having this recording...will be a good listen to the music and will jar a few memories... :) |

Yes they were asked to stay within a DB limit set by the city manager. SO yes sound overall during the week shows kinda sucks. decent venue,but yes location not quite so perfect. |

| Several years back GM played Meymandi Theater in Raleigh. The place is acoustically built with teakwood. I can't remember who taped the show, but the version that was shared here is real nice. |
