|Thank you for sharing - much appreciated!
|Huge upgrade for me. Thank You
|Nice thank you!
|This was a fun night of Jerry thanks for getting this out there.
|I don't think the cmc6 was released until 1992. For this recording, my guess is that a cmc5 mic body was used?
|and of course, thanks for this! it sounds great!
|Excellent, thanks.<img src="http://s01.flagcounter.com/count/7uR/bg=FFFFFF/txt=FFFFFF/border=FFFFFF/columns=1/maxflags=1/viewers=3/labels=0.jpg" alt="." width="1" border="0" />
|jason - it certainly could be the cmc5. i had a hard time reading the DAT notes. that's why i just noted rich g master, couldn't make out the last name... surely, this source has circulated but maybe not without some dae. thanks!
|Probably Rich Gastwirt...sounds like this source seeded by the green mountain boys in 06
Rich commented in the btree torrent at the time
"Rich Gastwirt posted the following additional info to bt.etree.org:
Schoeps CMC 44 blue dot cards with 90 degree capsule offsets so they could be held vertically -> 6 feet of Monster M1000 cable -> Oade PS-> 1 foot of Monster M1000=> Oade mod'd Panasonic Sv=255. Mics were hung from a necklace, just under chin height with roughly a 4 inch spread and 90 degree
angle. Mics were worn by the late great John Mutterperl."
|For what its worth, this version sounds cleaner BTW....if I remember right the other had some diginoise here and there....Thanks for the upload....
|yes, that's the name/source. rich made JK a DAT1 from the master back in the early 90's.
|w dats gen 1 can be better than a master sometimes..great share
|Alright, so this is Rich Gastwirt's recording. in which was it was fob schoeps cmc4/mk4. I believe that the blue dot cmc4 version just indicated that the output was +5dB higher than the non-blue dot version.
|Who fucking cares about the mics used. Does it sound good? Yeah? Ok then, say thanks and move on. Jeez you freaking source nuts are insane .
|Thanks for the share. :-)
|I recorded this show too. However I did not have mic's as good as Schoeps at that time. Did get Schoeps several years later. Great show!
|thanks for sharing
