Traders Little Helper used for creating checksums:
- FLAC ST5 & MD5 generated for original FLACs
- FLAC ID3 tagged files matched to original FLAC ST5
- FLAC MD5 generated for ID3 tagged files (t-flac.md5)
MP3Tag (current version) used for all ID3 tagging:
- The metadata ID3 tags can be read by any player that plays FLAC files.
- ID3 tags will be stripped if converted to WAV, however audio data will be unaffected
Use FLAC ST5 to validate audio integrity.
(Alternatively, the FLAC FFP contains the same checksum values.)
t-FLAC MD5 values will change if ID3 tags are altered.
Original FLAC MD5 & ST5 included for reference
T-FLAC16TAG.HTML uses FOLDER.JPG to display album art
T-FLAC16TAG.TXT provides a track-by-track breakdown of the fileset's ID3 tags

-- THE SHACK PROJECT --
This is an effort to seed all existing MMW shows, and yes, preserving the audio of the original SHN/FLAC filesets -- but now with a twist. We are now seeding ID3 FLAC encoded filesets of db.etree sources which still maintains the audio integrity. The seeding will proceed chronologically for the most part, with exceptions as we feel the vibe to seed other gigs from other times.
Thanks to MMW for allowing their music to be recorded....really, thank you.
Huge thanks goes out to the TAPERS, without whom this wouldn't be possible...and those others who have helped get the tunes to our ears.
These shows are all being listened to, setlists updated, flaws noted and/or corrected, and hopefully we're circulating the best seeds we can.
All shows listed here in SHN/FLAC will be seeded:
These shows will be seeded as well, either by me or by one of a few other kind souls:
Shows listed here circulate in some manner. We are looking for as close to the original source as we can get so if you can help out with any of the following, we'd all appreciate it:
http://db.etree.org/duggy/mmwneeds (this list is in the process of being compiled and is grossly out of date ... maybe forever? Worth a look though!)
enjoy the grooves
***FOR ALL YOUR SETLIST NEEDS***
MMW Performance History @ http://mmwhistory.com - this is a fantastic resource that allows you to look at info on gigs by MMW and related side projects and guest appearances; big thanks to Tom for creating this page.
We are actively updating all setlists as we seed, and also others outside the particular order of the project.
db.etree is also being updated in tandem with the updates to Tom's pages -- both the source and show pages.

|After some recent chatter about this gig on the MMW Google list, I thought I'd toss this and the next night up ... spacey Open Improv to land into Night Marchers and the show is off and running -- that's a slamming tune to start. I really dig the Macha > Wiggly's > Henduck > Lifeblood run of tunes ... the latter two songs always jive nicely together ...
|Lifeblood > Henduck ... I meant to say/type ...
|Thanks, I love their 95-96 period! I've read some fans felt like Shack Man was a step down: too much groove, not enough jazz, etc. but to me that was an amazing period. I can see how MMW, wanting to always keep things fresh, would want to move on to explore other directions, and they've made plenty of other great albums. But in my view that doesn't take away from Shack Man being a great album and I love hearing them stretch out on those tracks live.
|Benissimo im in your camp. 95-96 all the way...
Duggy you are a genius and we need to build a statue in your honor. lol.
|I'd pitch in for a statue...
thank you's really can not convey the appreciation for so MUCH quality MMW!
