Once again I have a DAT of this show that is not in the db. It went from Chris Tweedy > Chris Wallace > Me.
Two Nak 300 shotguns + One Nak cardioid > DAT. It sounds very good, much better than the 25th. Shall I get it out? |

First set is run of the mill for this tour, but I can not tout this second set highly enough.
Punchy Down with Disease into a soaring YEM, Sparkle is the only hiccup which precedes a gorgeous Simple > McGrupp combo driven by Page (he moves away and returns to the piano no less than three times with some haunting melodies in the Simple), Waste is good for the era (9/14/99 is difficult to beat) and the Antelope smokes. Fire to encore is never a bad thing.
Thanks for this new source and the one upcoming from the Miller pouch.
By chance, do either of you have an upgrade or uncirculated copy of 11/8/96 in Champaign? Lovely show which could use another source. |
