If im not mistaken this Jam took place at a little piano bar, not to far from the main square where Soulive and John played a few sets during this Perugia Jazz festival. It started really late (i remember cause i was hoping to catch it but had to leave for Rome that morning, and it was sooooo late)

And if i remember correctly, it was recorded by this dude Jure Babnick one of only two self proclaimed Slovenian "dead heads". he and his buddy Miha, were there for the festival and Jure was the taper of the two.

I also remember him having a pretty crappy mic and MD recorder, and he just stuck that in the middle of this jam and grabbed what he could.

Anyway, these dudes were super cool, and we took them back to their campground the night before, where there were a bunch of italian hippies drinking wine and playing bob dylan on guitars and shit. Doing their best to be like american hippies on tour. It was super cool.

Also i remember when i asked Jure about his phish recordings, i remember him saying that his list post-95 was "FULL" which i thought was pretty damn cool for a bit torrent trader that had only seen the band a few times, but had fast access at the lab where he worked, and thats where he would download all day to add to his collection....

anyway, i thought that would be cool to share, not even sure if this is the same source, but i'd imagine its the only one. I personally have a few shows from this run, and even a full video from their first show. will post it someday...

Wow, forgot all about this one! Awesome story reesey. Two of Soulive's sets from the festy are on the archive as well. board>md. My roommate at the time was also in attendance and got the tapers contact info (main stage sets). Taper man followed up and sent some copies our way, and I think that is what ended up on the archive. Anyway, looking forward to hearing this one again, thanks Randy!
