| This sounds great. Many thanks for the upload. Love how loose they sound here. Sounds like there's maybe 10 people in the room. So much fun. Not a ton of jamming, but they weren't quite at that stage yet. Still, Trey wails like crazy on Alumni Blues and Mike's Song (among others). Classic old school 80's Phish! |

Wasn't the 8x10 Club known as the 'Funk Box' back then?? If so, maybe the venue should be listed as Funk Box(8x10 Club), Baltimore, MD.
I was just down there in September working a show...hard to believe a band as big as Phish playing such a tiny place & having it be so
sparsely attended. I know every band has to start somewhere, but still, just hard to fathom anymore. Then again, I did see Dave Matthews
Band opening & doing the tweener set for a Grateful Dead tribute band at the Wetlands here in NYC in 1993...too funny. |

| yes DAT was around and used plenty back in 1989. I had a Technics SV-MD1 back in October 1989 and they were out in the GD tapers section as early as Summer '88. |
