Here is a nice lil' treat our boys gave us. Everyone was talking about the "rumor" of a 9:00 pm soundcheck. Dany and I scarfed down what was left of our Hibachi dinner at Zen as we were running to the room to grab gear and make the scene. Got there at 9:00 and Dros, Chris, and Paul were all tinkering at the soundboard. Looks like we were getting a rumor come true.
We set up next to the board and chewed the fat with everyone there. The boys gave us a 20 minute showing of Surprise Valley and Big Bust. I would venture to say that about 1,000 fans got to dance in the sand. Great hanging with Dany, Jon and Erica, Bennett and Jackie, Presley and John, Mindy Lu, and the rest of the gang!
Dinner at Zen was fair at best. We had a few pieces of assorted Sushi with the Rice Medium Rare (Under Cooked). Next was a few pieces of assorted appetizers, Spring Rolls, Pork Pot Stickers, and Grilled Chicken. The Entree plate consisted of the same Medium Rare Rice used for Fried Rice, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Beef (Way Overcooked), Grilled Calimari, Grilled Shrimp, and Grilled Vegetables. We had a few Jack Daniels and Cokes that did not have very much ice in them.
After the set, I had it processed and ready to go within an hour, that is until the BT site was down. Off to the Pizza Shop for Margherita Pizza, and Pepperoni Pizza. Danny and I untapped a bottle of Argentina Wine that was fair at best.

Wow, this is a surprise.
You pretty much summed up every resort experience I've had as far as food is concerned-fair at best. But a lot of it. Looking forward to the next few nights.
